On Saturday, February 13th, 2010, we will once again be taking part in the Mardi Gras Parade at Mainstrasse Village in Covington, Ky. 4:30 P.M.- Meet for an early dinner at Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Spirits . They are located in the Streets of West Chester shopping complex at exit 19 off of I-75 (Union Center Blvd.). The shopping complex is on the east side of I-75. Red Robin is in there. After dinner we will cruise down I-75 to Covington, Ky. If there is time, we will stop in Frisch’s for pie and hot chocolate. We have to be at the parade staging area between 7:30 and 8:00. The parade starts around 8:00. The staging area is right up the street from Frisch’s. If you have radios, please bring them. We will be on channel 3.

Carl's has many collectibles. The Elvis Memorabilia room is sparkling pink, beside the Elvis room is a 50's diner layout with table juke boxes. Inside is also one of the largest wreckers in this part of the state plus restored cars, toys, phone booths, etc. This is a memory you will not forget once you have visited. This is a working garage but very clean...floor is tiled and they mop it at least once a week. There will be lots of 50’s dance music. We bring our own snacks. Neat place to see. Where- Gil Lynn Park, Dayton, Kentucky Charity- Stray Animal Adoption Program (S.A.A.P.)Entry Fee- 10.00 or donation to S.A.A.P. (food, toys, treats, etc.), of equal or greater value. Goodie bags and dash plaques guaranteed to the first 40 cars.There will be the S.A.A.P. pet fair going on in the other half of the park. Therefore, this is a pet-friendly car show. You are encouraged to bring your pets. There are also concessions available in the park.We will also have a 50/50 raffle and door prizes. Participants will enter the park at the gate on Berry Ave. Turn left at the stoplight by the war memorial.I have attached a map with directions to the park.
